The mission of the Centre of Excellence in Generative AI is to accelerate AI-driven transformation by advancing research, enabling consultancy, and fostering capacity-building across priority domains.
- Advance applied R&D in Generative AI with focus on healthcare, IoT, smart cities, agriculture, finance, and education.
- Secure research grants and consultancy projects to sustain innovation, generate revenue, and deliver real-world impact.
- Build industry and government partnerships to co-create deployable AI solutions aligned with national and global priorities.
- Empower students, researchers, and professionals through hands-on training, hackathons, mentorship, and innovation sprints.
- Produce scholarly outputs, policy documents, whitepapers, and prototypes that shape the future of AI adoption.

Building Inclusive Digital Solutions: AI, Ethics, and Beyond
We conducted an AICTE-VAANI sponsored three-day workshop on “Building Inclusive Digital Solutions: AI, Ethics, and Beyond” from 23rd to 25th July 2025 in the Bengali language, under the aegis of the Centre of Excellence in AI. Participants from West Bengal, Assam, Tripura, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Jharkhand attended the program.
